o.0 I had forgotten that had happened. Can I forget it again? Seriously, I found it bad enough when the merry band of refugees just so happened to talk about plot relevant information while standing right next to Harry and Hermione's hideout in this book...*calls on the Haitian*

appear to have this completely irrational and perverse reaction to characters who are universally loved in fandom (or as near to universally loved as you can get), which is that I respond to them with a resounding, "Meh." That is: I can objectively see that Neville is awesome, but he elicits no emotional reaction from me. I guess I have to feel protective of a character in the fandom before I can really love them.

I certainly know the phenomenon, having experienced it myself in different circumstances, but since I've never been in HP internet fandom, my preferences are pretty dependent on the books alone. Let's just say that as with Heroes, we obviously complement each other. :)

I have to admit: I'm interested. Tell me!
