Extremely fast drive-by watch: Kings

So very briefly. So vaguely spoilery.
Interesting concept, but hasn't entirely gripped me so far. I like the older cast - Ian McShane is obviously good, though I'm not as hopelessly smitten by him as is apparently required to have "good taste," Susanna Thompson is love in general, and Eamonn Walker has great presence (Also, hi, Wes Studi and Dylan Baker!).
The younger cast is unfortunately pretty bland, to the point where I had difficulty distinguishing the men, both with Jack and David, and David's brothers. Chris Egan looking like Matt Damon and Ryan Philippe's long lost love child didn't exactly help in that respect. On the other hand, Jack did have that one great scene with Silas on the steps, so he's likely not entirely hopeless.
As it is, I'm mostly interested in the court itself, specifically characters like the royal couple's assistant, Thomasina, and the court historian, who is just an awesome idea.
